<p>In chemical process plants, outlet gases from various liquid/gas contacting devices such as evaporation towers and distillation columns often contain entrained liquids in the form of droplets. These entrained liquid droplets needs to be removed to prevent affecting the quality of gas required for the downstream processes.<span id="more-3071"></span></p>
<p>The mesh type demister pad is a highly efficient solution for liquid/gas separation, using metal wire woven into a flat or round wire mesh sheet to form a separating layer to remove entrained liquids, or to recover expensive impurities from the gases.</p>

<p><strong>Mechanism</strong></p>
<p>As the fine liquid droplets entrained in the gases passes through the demister mesh pad, the droplets hit the wire meshes, adhering to the surface of the wires. As more droplets attach to the surface of the wires, the coalesced droplets increases in size and eventually falls down due to gravity, completing the separation process.</p>
<p><strong>Demister Screen Pressure Drop</strong></p>
<p>As demister mesh screens have low pressure drop (typically &lt;25mmH2O), the pressure drop is usually negligible.</p>

<p><strong>High Temperature Exhaust Gas Purification</strong></p>
<p>In the polysilicon production technology, exhaust filtration plays an important role, especially during a bad market situation to reduce costs in producing polysilicon products.</p>

<p><strong>1.  Reduction of Furnace/Exhaust Gases</strong></p>
<p>After the reduction of SiCl₄, H₂ and SiHCl₃ gas via drying, H₂ and HCl can be reused. H₂ gas would need to be filtered before reuse to remove silicon powder and graphite powder. This guarantees no contaminants, the hydrogen purity, allowing a more stable and efficient hydrogenation and reduction reaction.</p>

Traditional spray process incurs high costs, high wastage, and creates a serious environmental problem.Solution:Feature-Tec uses dry separation technology, channeling waste gases and liquids into a combustion chamber to generate SiO₂ powders.
